Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: September 9, 2026

You can delete your CreatorViral account and all associated data yourself, at any time, in a few seconds. This page explains exactly how, what happens, and how long it takes.

How to delete your account

You do not need to contact us. Confirming suspends your account on the spot — every session ends, every automation stops, nothing is published on your behalf and no email is sent — and it stays suspended for 30 days. Signing in again during those 30 days restores it with everything you had; that is the only way to undo it. After that, the deletion below happens automatically and cannot be reversed. We email you when you request it and again when it is complete.

If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in, write to legal@creatorviral.com from the address on the account, with the subject Data Deletion Request, and we do it for you within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your video files finish being deleted from our storage within 24 hours. Data may persist in encrypted backups until the normal backup cycle overwrites it; it is not used for anything during that time. Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained.

What we keep, and why

Tax and accounting law requires us to keep a record of the money you paid us. So after deletion we keep, and only for that purpose: the payment records held by Stripe, our payment processor (invoices, charges and the customer record they are attached to), and, in our own systems, the amounts, dates, plan, credits purchased and credits used, together with the identifier that links them to the Stripe record. We do not keep your email address, your content or your activity. The Privacy Policy (section 5) sets out exactly what that record contains.

Deleting an account with an active subscription cancels that subscription on the spot and forfeits the remainder of the period you already paid for, along with every credit in the account. The screen tells you the exact numbers before you confirm.

What we cannot delete on your behalf

Content that CreatorViral published on your behalf to TikTok, Instagram, or any other connected platform lives on that platformafter deletion. Removing it requires deleting the post directly inside the platform's app or web UI. This is a limitation of the platforms' APIs — the access tokens we held are scoped to publish, not to delete previously-published content.

Disconnecting a social account without deleting the CreatorViral account

If you only want to revoke our access to a connected TikTok or Instagram account but keep your CreatorViral account otherwise intact:

  1. Sign in to Settings → Connections.
  2. Click Disconnect on the account row.
  3. The token is deleted from our systems, so we can no longer post on your behalf. Revoking the permission on the platform's own side happens when you delete your whole account; for a single connection you can also revoke our access from inside TikTok or Instagram.

You can additionally revoke our access from inside TikTok or Instagram's privacy settings — both sources of revocation are honored.
